Respite Care for those in the Thames Valley Area
The Chiltern Centre offers respite care in Oxfordshire to disabled children aged 6 to 25 years a short break in a stimulating, supportive environment, whilst giving parents much-needed respite from day-to-day responsibilities. We are able to serve families and carer givers from Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
No matter whether a child has physical or specific learning disabilities, or complex health needs, the caring warm welcome at Chiltern Centre gives young people a fantastic short break.
Our respite care in Oxfordshire is provided in a safe and friendly environment. We recognise that by caring for a child with a disability is something that never ends. It can mean being there 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Often families who care for children with a complex medical need or a profound learning or physical disability really need a break . This is were our respite care in Oxfordshire services give them a chance to do something that the rest of us often take for granted.
Our respite care is adapted to meet the needs of disabled children and young adults in our care, our 5-bed facility is equipped with fully accessible bathrooms, a multi-sensory room, a homely lounge and dining area with TV and computers.
Safeguarding children and young people is paramount at the Chiltern Centre – reflected in the buildings’ security systems, as well as safe, secluded garden with purpose-built play equipment.
