Fundraising for disabled children and young adults
Community Support and Fundraising
Though we are a small charity, our work at the Chiltern Centre has a huge impact on the families we look after. Every penny raised enables our dedicated staff to give outstanding care to so many young people every day.
We owe much gratitude to the unfailing support of our local community who is at the heart of our continual success. So by helping us raise the £200,000 needed each year to keep the Chiltern Centre’s doors open for disabled people and their families, imagine the difference your support could make to so many young lives. Fundraising for disabled children and young adults is rewarding, fun and provides you with the satisfaction to know that you have made a difference.
Whether you organise or help at a fundraising event, or simply encourage your children’s school, local businesses or friends to get involved, we would love to hear from you.
When you contact us, we can offer all the advice and guidance you need – and even provide fundraising materials from balloons and t-shirts to publicity posters. Just ask!
Please contact Jane or Liz our community fundraisers by email liz@chilterncentre.org.uk or call 01491 575575.
Calling all community groups, churches and clubs
Are you a member of a local group who champions local charities? Why not nominate The Chiltern Centre. We’d love to be your charity of the year, or perhaps you could run an event or arrange a collection on our behalf?
To find out more about our work supporting children with disabilities, a Team Chiltern speaker can visit your community group or place of worship at a time to suit you. We’re always proud to spread the news about how our services transform the lives of local disabled children and young adults.
If you would like a speaker to visit and help raise awareness of the invaluable care we give so many local youngsters, do please call Jane on 01491 575575 or email liz@chilterncentre.org.uk.
Team Chiltern
Here at the Chiltern Centre, we are privileged to have the support of a dedicated team of people who run fundraising events and provide much-needed volunteering.
If you too can spare some time and energy to help in one of our groups, we love welcoming new faces – or perhaps you’d like to rally a group of friends together to organise your own event?
Either way, please get in touch with Jane or Liz, our TeamChiltern coordinators on 01491 575575 or email liz@chilterncentre.org.uk.
Schools, Colleges and Universities
Fundraising can be wonderfully creative and fun, offering opportunities to work together in a team and meet new friends too. It’s also an enriching way to learn first-hand about what social responsibility really means.
If you’d like your school or college to support The Chiltern Centre, please start by getting permission from a member of staff first. Whether it’s the whole school or just your class, we have plenty of fundraising ideas and tips to share with you.
Why not make a difference to disabled children in your area – and have fun too? Besides, every penny you raise will directly benefit children who rely on the Chiltern Centre every day.
For more information as well as fundraising materials to get your event off to the best start, please get in touch with Jane on 01491 575575or email: liz@chilterncentre.org.uk.
Duke of Edinburgh Community Service
If you’re on the Duke of Edinburgh scheme looking for a community project where you can really make a difference, choose the Chiltern Centre. Why not set up a fundraising team to help disabled young people in your community?
By organising an event on our behalf, you’ll learn how to run meetings, budget and plan an event – with the added bonus of raising money for children with disabilities and complex medical needs.
One of our Fundraising Team will even come along and chat to you about how you can help. Call us now on 01491 575575 or e-mail liz@chilterncentre.org.uk.
