Queens Award for Voluntary Service 2012
The Chiltern Centre has been awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service – a prestigious honour created to mark the 2002 Golden Jubilee. Annually awarded to groups of volunteers in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the community, it is comparable to receiving an MBE.
The Chiltern Centre receiving the Queens Award for Voluntary Service was featured in the The London Gazette 2 June 2012 (click link to view – pdf).
As the proud recipient of the highest award given to volunteer groups across the UK, it is a wonderful accolade to the dedication of our supporters who freely give time to help children with disabilities lead better lives.
High Sheriff of Oxford’s Award
At Chiltern Centre, we aspire to offer the best service to children with disabilities and their families. That’s why we are especially proud that one of our volunteers received a High Sheriff of Oxford’s Award for Services to Volunteering. Our devoted volunteers really are the community’s unsung heroes.
